"yellow leaves/ bright in the afternoon/ by the pond" - Tanaka, Kimiyo . . . . This Haiku seemed to suit this picture taken during my Gardens visit. It was in fact by a pond - part of a Chinese garden. . . .Panasonic DMC - FZ7. Thank you for viewing. Your comments are always enjoyed and appreciated.

Nice thought here as the color combo really makes this work!! Luv the soft yellows against the hard greys!!

A NOTE TO ALL MY FRIENDS: I WILL BE COMMENTING LESS ON PEOPLE IN MY “FRIENDS” LIST SO AS TO MAKE TIME FOR VIEWING ALL “NEW IMAGES” AND ENCOURAGING OTHER PEOPLE OF WHOM I MAY NOT KNOW OR ARE NEW TO THE SITE. I WILL STILL VIEW EVERY IMAGE OF MY FRIENDS AND STILL COMMENT ON SOME IF I CAN GIVE A GOOD CRITIQUE OR MENTION WHAT I LIKE OR FEEL IS REALLY WORKIN’ WELL IN THE IMAGE. AS FAR AS MY IMAGES IF YOU HAVE A COMMENT ON HOW I CAN IMPROVE AN IMAGE I REALLY WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THAT SO AS TO LEARN AND BETTER MYSELF.

The pure yellow of the leaves and its sharp contrast to the dark grey stones make this an attractive picture.

The Gingko leaves are the most beautiful yellows in Japan in November. A lovely composition. Thank you for sharing.

Great photo Lyn. I can remember when you were posting Spring pictures and I was jealous. It doesn't seem that long ago. I like the contrasting colors. Just a great post. I must admit I'm not jealous. lol.

How lovely! The colours in this capture work so well together and I can see why you were drawn to this particular corner to photograph. As Totosan says the ginko leaves are in themselves beautifully shaped and add to your capture. Well done!

Perfect Haiku, the contrasting colours, shapes and simplicity work really well together.
