Working on this image I was put in mind of Eddie Calvert & His Golden Trumpet. I wonder if anyone else remembers that far back ?? That got me to thinking of his OH MEIN PAPA, so this is dedicated to all of your Papas, or their memory. These are the lyrics . . Oh, my papa, to me he was so wonderful ~ Oh, my papa, to me he was so good ~ No one could be so gentle and so lovable ~ Oh, my papa, he always understood.~~ Gone are the days when he could take me on his knee~ And with a smile he'd change my tears to laughter. ~~ Oh, my papa, so funny, so adorable ~ Always the clown so funny in his way ~ Oh, my papa, to me he was so wonderful ~ Deep in my heart I miss him so today. . . . . . . Panasonic DMC-FZ7 . . Thank you for viewing, I hope you enjoy.

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Extra nice Lyn. I do not remember that trumpet player. I do remember Herb Alpert and Al Hirt though. Nice work on this shot!

I really love the frame and how the flowers spill outside of it just a bit.

Lovely warm and golden callas. Yes, I remember that song and I'm singing it in my head right now. I am remembering my papa as well. Thanks, Eve, for the memories.

You've done a fine job of presenting these callas and no, I don't know the artist or the song, but the words were certainly compelling.

the flowers look stunning against that black background - they just pop out of the screen! Beautifully done Lyn!

Thanks only a short trip back in time, Lyn. How about Harry James, The Sachmo, or Dizzy Gillespie? These are pretty fine trumpets in their own right, too. Great shot.

Fantastic work Lyn, the golden colour is terrific. Patti's right, they look like they're popping out of the screen against that black background.
