The furious Pacific - an oxymoron if ever there was. Another from my sea sojourn yesterday. THIS is taken from almost the same place - and is what it more normally looks like. . . Panasonic DMC-FZ7. Thanks for viewing, your comments are always valued and appreciated.

Wow what a difference between the two shots. The sea gods are not very happy at the moment!

I forgot Pacifo means peaceful. Riled up like a hornets nest in this one. I hope it passes soon. Startling difference from you summer posts.

Ask your Congressmen and Senators why our existing wells aren't pumping more than 3 days a month? There a lot of unused capacity in existing wells.

There's nothing quite as scary as the sea when it's angry, is there? I love the washed out look, it suits the mood perfectly.

What a difference time can make. Great show of true power Lyn. I like the shoreline as well and the waves trying to beat it into submission. Great action.

Wow, what a contrast between the two shots. They are both very good, each in their own right.

Hi Eve...I have been following the violent storms that you have been having as well as following your posts of the sea! You have done a good job of presenting to us the power of Mother Nature and the force to be reckoned with should we choose to "mess with Mother Nature".
I think I prefer the black and white image. It has some great depth to it. Thank you for providing a link to the peaceful Pacific so we can see the difference for ourselves.
Have a safe weekend.

I am loving this series so much! The sea never looks better than when she is being wild and showing her power. An excellent capture

Beautifully put together and very well timed, it's a wonderful combination of smooth blues, whites and the earth tones of the rocks. This gets the power and fury of the sea but also the graceful shapes of nature. I'm loving your sea series. Just sorry you had to get battered by storms for it to happen!

I had this up on my desktop for many days. I really like it. It deserves far more than it got. I'll have it up again too.
