This breed of goose, the Sebastopol, is sometimes referred to as the Pantomime Goose and it is easy to see why :) The ruffled feathers are caused by a frizzle feather mutation which causes the shaft of the feather to split and curl. Captured at a wildlife reserve yesterday with Panasonic DMC-FZ7 . . .thank you for viewing, comments most welcome. I hope this makes you smile as it did me. :)

She's quite interesting to look at. Without your comments, I would have thought that she got caught out in the rain. lol I really like the pose.

Just when I thought I'd seen it all...a frazzled goose! It looks like it has had a perm. I wonder if that condition effects it's ability to float since feathers have to be tight together to repel water?
Great capture.

What great shot! She washed her hair and cannot do a thing with it!! Maybe it just came out of some hurricane winds too!

Who said geese are not supposed to get their "hair" permed, lol... And what I like about this nice closeup is a nice contrast between dark background and a well focused colorful goose, that is posing so nicely. Congratulations.

The expression on its face reminds me of a Aflac Duck commercial. Maybe it should go to this barber shop as well. Great post Lyn. Oh yes, it made me laugh as well.
