I was tempted to clone out the man on the rock then I remembered he was a photographer so I left him:) I think he gives some perspective to the vastness of the landscape. Lake Tekapo, New Zealand with Canon EOS 450D. Thanks for viewing, comments most appreciated.

Come, my friends, 'tis not too late to seek a new world. Push off, and sitting well in order smite the sounding furrows; for my purpose holds to sail beyond the sunset, and the baths of all western stars, until I die. Tennyson, "Ulysses"

Oh no Lyn, the man gives scale to this huge vista. This is a landscape and a half! A fabulous shot, you are so lucky Lyn living somewhere like this. Although I realise it can't compete with Smithdown Road on a Saturday night but it comes close!

a wise decision to let the man in the picture. The smaller he is, the more impressive your image.
Great post Lyn!.

I'd say you made a wise choice in leaving him there. The photo becomes a thousand times more impressive for it. An outstanding photograph, Eve.

What a very rugged and remote looking place With the snowy mountains and forbidding sky. The green hue of the lake adds a color contrast and the man standing on the large rock gives something to focus on by showing how large the area is.
Truly special Lyn!
