I decided to give my Canon450D another chance 10 days ago and took it to Moeraki Beach, home of the famous boulders. This is four photos joined together. They were taken from the deck of the Moeraki Boulders Restaurant where the railing served as a good tripod, as usual mine was left in the car. I am hoping that with practice I will improve with this camera - otherwise I will be back using the Panasonic. . . Any comments are most welcome. Thanks for looking.

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

Very good job, I would say Lyn. I thought the whole thing was one shot with a wide angle lens. The colours and clarity are excellent!

Looks to me like you are on the right track Lyn. Beautiful stitching and I love the wide view. You get the canon figured out then you can tell me. lol

This is wonderful, Eve. I don't think the comfort level of a new camera happens overnight. I think it takes some time. That's how it seemed to me. I am still getting used to my Canon after nine months. Please don't give up. Not when you are coming up with such fine finished images as this one.

Love it Lyn, what a majestic curve, and the little figures give it a great sense of scale. Looks to me like you're getting to grips with that camera, there's nothing wrong with the way this turned out. I like the panoramic format too.
