The braided Waitaki River flows for 130 miles from New Zealand's Southern Alps to Glenavy (close to where this photo was taken) where it enters the Pacific Ocean. The bridge is over half a mile long and is part of State Highway 1. Waitaki is the Maori word for Weeping Waters. Taken with Canon 450D. Thank you for looking. Comments are very welcome.
