The second of 7, this is Lake Tekapo, Mackenzie Basin, South Island, New Zealand. It covers an area of 83 square kilometres (32 sq mi) and is 710 meters (2300 feet) above sea level. The area is noted for its sky clarity and lack of light pollution and the neaby Mt John observatory attracts many visitors from all parts of thre world. . . . . . . . Taken with Canon 450D (17-85mmlens) on 24/10/10, 2.08pm. . . . . .Thank you for viewing, comments most welcome.

The sheer size of this really leaps out at you in this, as it takes your breath away! You are so lucky with where you ive. I had a couple from New Zealand in PLas Mawr the other day and they joked that Wales was like home in miniture :) ( I am working on a dvd for you at the moment)
