Super post Lyn. I had one of these and it weighed a ton! Fine old typewriter it was but alot slower than todays methods.

This shot sure brings back memories. As a young boy, I was fascinated with these old manual typewriters. Today, they would be viewed as somewhat similar to writing with hammer and chisel. Anyone who has grown up with computers would be horrified at having to use something like this to write with. Thanks for sharing this image, LynEve.

What a delightful post LE. The music link really raises ones spirits. Good detailed shot of the old typewriter. It reminds me of my L C Smith.

What is that, Lyn? lol I thought it grand when we got an electric one! How times change. I remember the song too. I wonder what the message was when the song was done. Well done, Lyn. Thanks for the song too.

You don't see these anymore. It's sad but today's youth have more than likely never seen one nor how to use it.

Not so far in the past, my first university essays were all typed, what a hassle that was.

I learned typewriting on a similar machine which belonged to my father. Nostalgia indeed, Lyn. Nice capture.

This is a famous typewriter! Many writers and war correspondents have used this very same kind of Typewriter. I have the same model and use it sometimes. Very good shot of this old but not so outdated instrument.

How cool, I have always loved those old machines. I used to work in an office which used on just like that.
