Mountains rising up from the grasslands in Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park. Mt Cook (12,316 ft) is in the "V' and covered by cloud.
The lupins that featured in THIS photo can be seen in the lower centre of this image. This was an easier shot to get because I did not have to go so low :)

the sides of the mountains look steep. the snow looks like icing that was put on the top and dripped down. The view is simply wonderful.
