This swift flow of the Pukaki Canal is a result of this Spill, and I thought it made a beautiful sight.
I hope you enjoy it. Glacial feed into the Lake causes the intense colour.
If you have been following this group of images I am sure you feel as waterlogged as I do :) I have a few more but will leave them till a later date. Thank you for your comments and opinions on this and the other Water Powers :)

Lyn - I imagine that the color of the water is caused, in part, by its rapid flow picking up minerals from the shore and bed. With the churning rapids, it is pretty. Thad

If you don't have natural water falls then make them I say. I like the action in this one LE. Beautiful colors.

One can see the power behind all that! "Water Power" is truly the apt title for this.

Really like the low down perspective, it captures the power of flowing water in those massive humps without needing huge plumes to make the point. Nicely done.

Once again, that fantastic water takes center stage. Beautifully composed. I like this angle, looking out over the rocks, and that little sprig of purple wildflowers is quite nice. Terrific series, LynEve!
