It is 5 years since I became a caedes member - I wanted to upload this on the day but I spent too long fiddling with it so it is an hour late :)
I remember back then thinking that to photograph a bird in flight would be the ultimate! I have managed a few over the years and this is by no means the best of a poor bunch but thought I would post it anyway as it makes a nice uncluttered desktop that someone may enjoy.

Congratulations on five years, Lyn. I need a few more months to make that landmark. I find it hard to believe we've been around these parts so long! lol You are right about the space making for a great DT and the bird came out well. I can never hold the camera steady enough to catch a bird in flight even with an IS lens.

Cameras are like people--sometimes they lose focus.
I think this is a very good shot of the gull in flight Lyn. Sharp focus on the bird and the blue sky looks great.

How cool ! I Love the simplicity of this shot. It's utter & complete stillness takes a second but then it's dramatic power hits it you....wow. Love the way the clouds on either side form a delicate frame, plus all that blue negative space. Though I gotta admit what first drew me was the gull seeming to just hang there in space...it's a great looking effect !
