Nice strong image; I like this! The best bits (for me) are the distant details... the pole, the breakers; the bright light flare. I also like the broad sweep of deep gold coming out to the foreground. There's a dark shadow on the right hand side that looks as though it's the shadow of the gull on the left hand side, but if that's not surreal, what is? :-)

Caveat (to borrow a useful word from Les)... the grain in the clouds, especially at the top; I would love for those to be smoother, but that's my personal preference.

A bold and interesting entry to the contest!

I like the swooshes in this and the vertical sun rays. An excellent interpretation of pure art.

Oh, great entry, Lyn...I really like the simplicity of the scene contrasting with the bold colors and sense of motion...very dramatic and as Jerry says, almost heavenly...best of luck.

In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest, where no one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art. ~Rumi~
