It is green because of a great irrigation scheme in this area. Just two days ago a drought was officially declared, which is expected to be in place for some time.

There surely is a pigeon named Walter flying in this scene somewhere, LE.
What a beautiful landscape. The world is topsy turvy with the weather these days.

Lyn I've heard once in a song about 'green pastures'. They were in my imagination. Thanks to your splendid image they have become true now.

Lyn - A beautiful scene! The vibrant colors are such a contrast to the monochromatic snow white outside my window. The depth of the scene is enhanced by the hill seen in the lower left corner. I might have cropped a quarter to third of the sky and presented a panoramic sense of scale. Beautiful as presented, however.
