From the Queenstown end of the lake. A little more choppy his time. The centre of town is directly behind me. There is 212km of shoreline so many different aspects are possible. BTW, it may look a tempting place for a swim, but be warned the temperature hovers around 10degreesC all year round :)

Hypothermia is an underestimated phenomenon.
According to the above link: a water temperature of 10 degrees C (50 degrees F) can lead to death in as little as one hour!
So enjoying Lake Wakatipu while sitting on the shore is a very good alternative Lyn. The view is splendid!

The rippled water surrounded by the Mountains looks pretty Lyn. The turquoise coloured water with a clear separation from the blue looks nice too.
