Taken in my garden today.
I have to learn a new lens! Taken with the original kit lens that came with my camera EFS 18.55mm.
I have always used my favourite EFS 17-85mm USM but it has malfunctioned and I am not sure if it is worth having repaired. I bought it second- hand and have had excellent use from it. It is a dilema. To replace with a new one is not an option. Maybe I shall see how I get on with the 18.55. Would be pleased to have opinions on this shot anyway.

Lyn, I like the color in this one, and nice composition. You ask so I will say for me it's a bit dark, with some loss of detail on the bee especially around the head and upper part of the body, maybe that is partially because of my monitor? but the color is good. For me I never had much luck with kit lenses, but that is just my thought. Good luck with whatever you decide, I wonder if you could get an estimate on the lens before repair. tigs=^..^=

Good composition anyhow, Lynn. What seems to be surrounding blur, is just 'bokeh' (usual phenomenon in macro photography), so good work!
It's a pity however that your lens is broken. Hope that you can find soon a reasonably solution.
