Also known as St John's wort. Along with the Tree Mallow I needed to chop down several of these plants - they really are invasive although I love the bright sunny yellow flowers and then the seed pods are attractive in the winter and they rattle in the wind.Removing the roots is a major effort!
Well known for its uses in medicine the actual plant is poisonous to grazing animals (cattle, sheep, goats, horses).St John's wort is described in the works of Pliny and Dioscorides who were practising and writing about botany and medicine in the 1st century AD. It has been used for centuries to treat wounds and pain. In the middle ages it was used as a physcotherapeutic and to ward off evil.

Canon 450D. Comments welcome.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

I had this plant in my garden as well, Lyn. Hope however that 'had' in the previous line has become true, because they're are very invasive indeed. A matter of choice: beauty versus displacing the other flowers in my garden.
Very fine capture however. Taken very well, my friend.
