Puawhananga is a Maori word meaning 'Flower of The Skies'.
Clematis paniculata is one of seven clematis native to New Zealand and heralds Spring with its wonderful display.
It's scent is intoxicating !

If (bumble)bees and butterflies are capable to smell the scent, they undoubtedly can't resist it, Lyn. Very festive photograph. The blue sky makes this image to a 'fairy tale' one.

We don't have white Clematis where I live LE. It is beautiful.
