I asked them to keep still for a photo but no, they kept on preening manically. It must be Monday !
These are Otago Shags (rare, at least half the worlds population of them live in this colony of almost 2000))that use this old wharf as a nesting ground. It is fenced off from public access so the birds are safe and unafraid of spectators.
