This is special ... the capture has its own identity, it is unique and the result is breathtaking. It is not easy to vary from the usual photos, but this one really stands out, and of course, it is a favorite for me.
Lyn, I've read in my newspaper and have seen on TV that (parts of) New Zealand is (are) dealing with very bad weather. One of the newspaper articles reported that a plane en route from Dubai to Auckland had to return after a 13-hour flight because the Auckland airport was flooded.
Hopefully you have been spared this misery. At least at the time of taking this beautiful photograph. The accompanying presentation is once again of an excellent quality. Very well done!

In reply to Cornelius - the flooding in the North Island is horrendous. A State of emergency is in place and they are bracing for another downpour overnight. Its has been so bad cars have been floating away and there have been 4 fatalities. Where I live it is the opposite - very dry and hot temperatures. Pictures here including he flooded airport https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/483274/auckland-floods-more-rain-on-the-way-as-clean-up-begins
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
