Another view of my town from Lookout Point. I have attempted a painterly effect on this one. I captured it by just stepping out of the car which is just behind me. Behind the car on the other side of the narrow road are houses from which this view can be enjoyed every day.

A very successful 'attempt' (please notice the quotation marks, 😁) in achieving a painterly effect, Lyn. The result is an idyllic and lovely sight, and a very big contrast of the disater that's happening now at the North Island of Aotearoa (New Zealand).
My empathy goes to the victims there!

"Is your home among those behind your car?" No, it isn't John. We are about a third of the way into the picture from the left and up the hill behind, so can see the sea. Looking the other way we see the mountains - not clearly visible on this picture.
