The Kakanui River and its estuary divides the small township of Kakanui. Its population is approx 400. An area of particularly fertile soil, and home of Kakanui tomatoes which are the best in New Zealand, and most likely the world :)

Lyn, although I've never tasted Kakanui tomatoes, I take your words for granted.
Think the match of fertile soil with the climate is 'responsible' for that.
Splendid capture again with the wonderful sky as a bonus!
