I was looking forward to some views of the river as we returned home from out of town one day last week. Late afternoon, and I knew the sun would be low and shining on the bridge (the yellow strip on the left). What I did not know was that since our last visit these trees had grown along the river bank obstructing the previous clear view. The Waitaki is a braided river so is forever changing but the trees were a surprise. This is about 15 minutes drive from where we live.

Lyn, the bare bushes try to camouflage the colored riverbank at the opposite of the river, but didn't succeed in doing this completely, making your very fine capture to an intriguing one this way.
