I really like the lighting, and the overall image. Sure is hilly, and I like how the home is nestled in behind the hill. tigs=^..^=

This hillside home sits in a beautiful setting. Interesting how you were able to include the moon. The jet trails look like they are heading up and not across the sky.

MJ, did you do a total sky replacement on this one?? (hands on me hips and eyebrow raised) LOL! just kiddin my friend... but you have to admit its funny :) im still around viewing only these days. healing up from surgery but doing well.

I too love the hillside gradient or slop in this picture...and all the verticals are straight with the house level...nice! people take note of this fact, its hard to do with a shot like this and not have lens distortion play a negative effect in your picture.

i myself might have leaned a little for less of the "hot" side with the yellow hue off the trees and the left side of the picture. although thats just me being picky MJ. playing with the blue's and turnng the temp down would have balanced the over all colors and gave you more of a blue in the sky..and... shown off that moon! i do love a day time moon.

however, thats just my subjective opinion is all. and the fact im part werewolf..shhhh! dont tell.

the fact you do have a split hue or tone in one picture like this? its very interesting and takes WB to an ultimate level if someone sees what i do. the tree tops are sharp yet not washed out on the tips...again, nice! its something i have a hard time with using the cheap glass i have...or so i think.

i could live here and be totally happy :) this one would make a wonderful fall or foliage picture, my friend.

Firstly and definitely more importantly. Stylo, hope you recover quickly from the surgery and that you're up and about taking photo's and uploading the resultant images before we all know it.

Secondly, thanks for the comments, particularly Stylo's as critique is always welcome.

On that note, I have to agree with what Stylo says, there is a problem with colour bias/white balance/over saturation, etc. It's something I've noticed with a couple of images that look good in Photoshop, but don't look as good when Uploaded to Caedes. There's obviously something wrong with my Workflow and I'm doing something daft along the way. I use two monitors. One is extra wide gamut and calibrated using a x-rite colormunki. The other is straight from the box. All my editing is done with the calibrated monitor and looks fine during the editing process. I'm guessing, that I'm inadvertently applying a different colour profile to the image at some stage when saving the image.

Will investigate further...

A fine image which I fortunately, through the limits of my technical knowledge, cannot fault.
