The Town Hall (Dutch: Stadhuis) of Oudenaarde, Belgium, was built by architect Hendrik van Pede in 15261537 to replace the medieval Schepenhuis (Aldermen's House) that occupied the same site. Another older structure, the 14th-century Cloth Hall, was retained and now forms a sort of extension at the back of the Town Hall proper. In 1999, the town hall was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the Belfries of Belgium and France site, because of its representation of the civic influence of the town and its architecture. I've tried to visualize this with numerous photographs of Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp, Leuven, Mechelen and Brussels.
I've not been to Oudenaarde. When I see your beautiful capture, perhaps on the one hand a missed opportunity, but on the other hand I've left you the opportunity to show the splendor of Flanders as well (just kidding of course, 😁) .
Anyway you have provided us with a very beautiful picture. It was S+F by me instantly. Thanks for sharing, my friend, 👍 !
