Some old rusty nails in a wooden post in my garden. F2.8 and macro mode decreased depth of field considerably. The wood shows some interesting patterns and colours but the nails are more uniform in texture. Their size acts as a reference point to the smaller details of the post. I stretched the luminescence histogram slightly to try and sharpen the image with more vibrance and contrast.

Woah, this is cool. Very interesting perspective. Great detail and depth of field. Great composition too. I love the textures. I don't like how the clump of out of focus wood right next to the nails has sort of blue highlights around and through out it. It looks a little weird. But overall, great creative shot.

Cool idea. I agree. Maybe crop the out of focus area out, but still it's a good picture. I like it.

This is really cool. For starters, the log looks old, and the rusty nails add to the effect!

Nice shot - I feel as though I need a tetanus shot just from looking at it!
