I got under the pier at Weston-Super-Mare at low tide a few weeks ago. The second highest tidal rise/fall in the world I believe, around 48ft, and very quick as well. Photo suffering from post-production editing abit, taken with three different exposure shots in JPG format and combined to make a single HDR, with more fiddling and local changes by myself. Ignore the artifacts and I think the image isn't too bad.... thanks for checking it out! [ Nikon D700 - Nikon 24-85mm - 24mm - F11 - 1/200sec - ISO200 ]

Simply fascinating as the object or subject of the image. As to the technicalities - there are some real professionals who know better than the undersigned, but for us this is just great! Thanks, dear friend!

You captured this structure superbly Richard and from a great angle that not many would have seen as a photo.I have been under this pier myself some years back .The detail is lovely and sharp plus I like the puddles and light in them and the colours are wounderfull .When I was in that area I sunk in the sand and my wife had to help me out lol.

I like the lines...and lighting in this and how the colors of the structure graduate from warm to cooler tones, top to bottom. Very nice!
