Welcome to Caedes! I like your earlier posts of "Evening in Lithuania" . Those are great shots. However, this post isn't your finest hour, which you acknoweldge in your comments. I'd encourage you to upload pictures that you actually like and want to share with your friends. I'm sure they will be glad to see them. J.

I never shoot directly into the sun unless their is something to block the glare like fog, or a tree, which sometimes gives good results. All the best and keep on clicking. Dwight.

Well, the horizon is well placed in the lower third, and had one been able to filter the light it might have been an interesting photograph. It's so blown out by the intensity of the sunlight that it's almost a lost cause. However, this is the kind of image that's fun to play with in an editing program to see what kind of neat manipulations you could do. It might be interesting to create a painting with it and fill in the bright area with a copy of the sun from another image...Don't take it to hear this isn't a great image, make it a great image! Good luck and Merry Christmas, anne :-)

There are tons of websites for uploading snapshots - photos of your neice, back yard, etc. "Caedes Man" did not start this website for that purpose. His intent was to offer a venue for folks to share artistic images that could be used as desktop backgrounds. Does anyone really want an out of focus shot of a dog for a desktop background? probably not. Let's share the good stuff and help others by telling them what's good or how to improve an image. We could all make Caedes a great site for everyone and use those other places for the snapshot sharing. A first rate family snap sharing website is www.easysite.com. FREE website to share all your snaps plus a whole lot more. Thanks for giving honest and usable feedback. Blessings to all, anne :-)
