though the results are interesting, since you don't include any steps on how you got the effects (except extremely general), I can't see this as a tutorial.

The steps I left were clear, about using the gradient tool with Difference. Then I said "be creative" and "use the various tools for Gradient". Try that, then rethink about what you posted.
Using the gradient tool set on Difference all over your workplace will create the abstracts above.
