In this situation you might consider shooting an extra photo, focused on the foreground. On a PC you could nicely overlap them to have the whole picture focused.
The tree forms a perfect diagonal across this frame, creating an excellent visual element. The colors are so rich, that I can feel my self in the scene. Very nice job. Now ordinarily the path would form a perspective element drawing the eye along its length to a vanishing point, but I believe in this image the angle of the shot, with the (kind of) distracting out-of-focus foreground prevents it from working that way. I've come to be of the opinion that blurred foregrounds distract the viewer. I'm new at this though, so I could be mistaken.
This is a great shot, the colors here are really nice, the clarity in this is really good except for the bottom, very blurry. I really like how you shot this with the limb of the tree hanging, nice work.
Thanks for your comments. They have acctually suprised me, but that is good. The thing i like the most in this shot is the out of focus forground, so it is interesting that all three of you don't like it. Thanks for the comments.
