Fantastic photo! Gosh I just yearn for snow!! All I see is at the top of Mt Hood from a distance...This picture of yours is wonderful...so icy cold looking and so well thought-out...I mean the way the branch is at the top at an angle and then the little icicles hanging down...ITs beautifully done....great job!!

MiLo - I noticed this is done in B&W with nice contrast and composition. When I first looked at this my eye went directly to the frozen snow colums. The detail is excellent in a larger view, good shot. You have a good eye to spot this in what looks like fresh snow. Do more please.

Now here is a top grade example of "Simple But Beautiful"!
The composition is really good and the simplicity in light lets the viewer concenrate on detail.

Thanks for all of the comments. Good eye on the black and white oksyl. It doesn't look very much different in color because it is mostly snow. If it was color the snow would would have some blue in it, but the tree has some green on it that i found drew my eye. That is why i went black and white. I didn't want the branch to grab attention with the color.
