I took this at the calgary zoo. This guy was in an area that you could walk into. I was close enough that i probably could have reached out and touched it. Makes it easier to get a good shot when there is nothing between you and the animal.

A gorgeous bird and even though they look gentle, I wouldn't want to get too into her face because she reminds me of geese and they can really hurt. Beautiful shot.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Very, very nice. Love the reflection in his eye. You're being monitored, brother! Balance is excellent and the green patterns of the background are warm, delicate.

Great close up, but a little too close. I have this illusion about the beauty of swans, and I didn't realize they had this growth over their beak, but come to think of it, I guess they do have that serious expression when seen from afar...lovely work.
