During a hiking trip with my dad, we found this beautiful flower growing out of the ash in Mt. St. Helens. This was taken about 4 months ago.

Foxglove(Digitalis)...such a lovely flower, and I've seen them grow all over Oregon and WAshington. You captured this just
perfectly too. And isn't it wonderful that it has grown thru all that gray ol' ash?!! I agree tho, it would be good to crop out
some of the background on each side, and just make the photo
more narrow, maybe with a nice frame on the right and left. But in any case, the shot is gorgeous...Verena
