Lake Winnebago January 31, 2010. The trees are actually road markers for vehicles crossing the lake.

Wow, amazing capture & info. So how deep is this lake in Wisconsin? I live in Northern Ontario and Lake Superior. Do you live near Lake Winnebago? Is there a lot of traffic that crosses this lake?

Anyway just gave this a high score in VB, that's how I came across it. Beautiful colours and depth

icedancer, That's the lake in your link! This was taken at a boat launch just north of High Cliff State Park. Northeast coast. Most of the traffic I have seen on the lake is ice fisherman coming and going. I don't think they use it as an actual "road" to cross the lake. Thanks for the vote!

Wow. That is different. I live near Truman Lake in MO, and you can see evidence of a road that used to go through it, before it was a lake. Not like this. Wow.

When this popped up in the VB I had to know what the story was behind it. Very bright and catching colors.
