Nice shot. Very clear. Horizon straight.
I might change a couple of things. It looks a bit underexposed to me and I would just give the pelican a bit more headroom.

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.
You know, I love this pic smaller AND larger. The clarity of the pelican and the post he is standing on (or is it a she?!) is striking, while I love the defused look of the background.
The grasses and horizon line and the way he is holding the beak to the side makes for great composition.
I really like this shot.
