I think it's quite interesting that you got only the bloomy part in focus. Very nicely done.

I love how the little pink part pops out at you. It is nice to see what the flowers look like before and after they bloom. I dont know what kind of flower it is though. For fun,you might want to try framing it in a slight line that would not detract from the image but make it stand out more. Nicely presented!

Such close up pictures are difficult to take because of the difficulty with depth of field. with such a short depth of field it is important have a point of interest that is in focus that sticks out. Yea I know, easy to say hard to do. I think the idea of a border is actually a good idea, try a thin green or black border.
