Although you can't tell, that's a Bald Eagle flying over the Great Pee Dee river in SC!! A very rare sight around here! In fact my first time seeing one anywhere nearby!

This is a lucky sighting. Very nice area to see them in you have here. We're lucky here in Northern VA, there are places nearby on the Potomac River where we can see as many as 4 or 5 of them fishing at a time. Nice post! ~Mary~
I used to live near an eagle sanctuary. Eagles were a fairly common sight near the rivers there....but always thrilling nevertheless! You have at least 3 eagles in this pic, maybe 5. This is a lovely, tranquil scene, very much like the country in Tidewater Virginia. It would have been absolutely perfect if you had been lucky enough to catch a deer drinking from the bank on the left. Even without my mythological deer, this is a great desktop, thanks!
