Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
Edward Weston
I absolutely love the good look at the branches, the bright auburn trees, and the reflections. I'm not real keen on the sky...and I have to say that this happens to me a lot. The sky at the end of the day has a hazy horizon, yet the water reflection (which I want) is of the sky well above the treeline. I think the post-photo solution is to crop out most of the sky. One site, giving up some of the interest on the side and aiming to get the background trees as high as possible might work. This is a really nice picture...the foreground ripples are eye-catching.
