Wow! What a find! I presume you found this little critter resting on the ground after a flight attempt. He looks feathered enough to hop up to a low branch pretty soon. Hope he survived his adventure!
My own search lead me to the Eastern Bluebird also. The beak and the eye look like one but the color is all wrong for a juvenile. The young are dark and plain in color. Not blue or yellow. I am no expert in any case. Just judging from all the pictures I was able to find.
You took a nice picture of your little winged friend in any case. The colors are very attractive.
Well I guess your right...Sorry! There must have been something wrong with this bird it acted as if it had just left the nest!! Thanks ....BUT it does still look like the Bluebird to!!
What an outstanding photo! How fortunate you were to find this little birdie! His colours are so precious. I would love to know wht he is too. Probably a true rare little bird, that is most likely very much on the endangered species list. Such a grand photo, you caught all the feathers and everything.Verena
A great photo and I have enjoyed reading all the comments. The Mad Bluebird was extremely interesting. Funny how life can change from one photo. Thanks for posting this.
