The spray of acacia needles in the top right corner of this shot just added for me the evocation of a Zen garden. I am entirely entranced by water flow, even when I was four my favourite place to go exploring was a creek bed and my fave pastime was building dams in little streams to see how the water flowed differently. This shot is a merged image, I used a tripod and experimented with image layering. It certainly gave me access to a wider dynamic range but I'm not sure if the result is an improvement or "flat". What do you all think?

Hope you enjoy it all the same.

Mikel.

I like the contrast between the smooth water and the sharp edges of the rocks. The colours are good too. I might have just left out the little plant upper left, but still a good picture.

i don't think it's flat. i find it soothing, i can almost hear the water rushing. i agree with crysophilax about the plant in the upper left, though. it is a bit distracting, and its vibrancy takes away from the soft quality of the rest of the image. good shot :)

looks like a great place to experiment, it would have been nice if you could have exposed it slightly longer to get more of a blur i guess, but then im a sucker for those milky water shots.
i dont think its flat though, good for you for trying something different mikel! :-)
