Ayla said she wanted to see more sky, so this one is for her. Second shot from my day trip to the Snowy Mountains in Australia. It was overcast the whole day but the sun kept playing "sneaky buggers" with me. I'd wait with camera ready and gloves off, waiting, waiting, for what looked like it might be a hole in the clouds to open up. My fingers would go numb so I'd have to put on my gloves, of course, right then the sun would shine thru. :) I'd whip off the gloves frantically and try to frame a decent shot before the sun raced back into hiding. This particular shot turned out pretty good. Hope you like it Ayla. :)

Enjoy.

Mikel.

Hey Mikel this is absolutely beautiful, thanks a lot :))
Sorry for the trouble it gave you though...
I especially like the soft reflection of light on the snow on the right part of the photo.
But most of all... I love the "sky" :)
Into my favs:)

Say, Mike, methinks you need a remote...corded or not. I had the same thing happen to me when I was trying to take pics of birds out on my deck in the wintertime.

But it was worth the hassle as this turned out so nice!

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

I guess we'll be seeing some of this soon. Snow, I mean. What a wonderful frame of snow covered landscape and Ayla is right about the sky.

Hey Mikel, this is what photography is all about, what a stunning photo you have posted here, I just love everything about it, mind you, I have always loved snow pics, so this is a winner for me.

Keep up the great postings Mikel, as your photography is just getting better and better.

Regards as always,

Mark.

Shooting in the snow is so difficult for so many reasons...and one of them is the cold!! I really like the smoothness of the snow...it makes it feel fresh and undisturbed. Nice one!!

It's a really good picture which reminds me, what we're expecting on next January on my side.
