On the main road from my suburb to the city centre of Canberra is a pocket of native grasslands. An area that retains the grasses that grew here before white settlement 200 years ago. On every side of this photo, just out of view, is suburban sprawl.

I'm glad they left you a spot to photograph! Composed very well. I almost feel "there". Great colors and lighting.

Like the low angle and inclusion of the f/g rocks. The low slung light adds dimension and appealing long shadows. Nice work.

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
Could have fooled me with the suburban sprawl!! I really like the angle here as well as the composition with the rocks anchoring the foreground. Great looking shadows too..nicely done!!
