Springbrook National Park on the border between Queensland and New South Wales is a pretty area. It includes this spot, called Natural Bridge, where the water has eroded the stream bed around the hard volcanic rock until this sinkhole/cavern was created. This image is the result of several tripod shots with the Canon S3IS all layered together with a great deal of masking to incorporate the well exposed bits into one image. If you ever visit Brisbane it's an easy drive to the park and this particular walk is completely paved and hand railed. (But also a bit steep in places.) At night the glow worms in this cavern put on a different kind of show!
Enjoy.
