Kiandra goldfields in the Snowy Mountains of Australia. This is a deliberately dramatized image which was inspired by one of my exposure bracketing images. That image was very dark but had this whole "burnt" colour quality going on which I liked. I liked the way the shadow/dappling of the clouds echoes the hilly contours of the land. The land still shows much damage from the time of the goldrush even after a century. Still beautiful though.

Enjoy.

Mikel.

PS If you see it full size the darkness comes into balance and the detail in the cloud shadows becomes evident.

loving the overdramatised effect here too, makes the light and shadows really stand out.

Woow what a cool shot.. I love the contrasting colors of sky and land...

Even though the whole pic is a bit dark, the colors of sky adds some life to it.... Nice composition...

The colors are explosive, but do draw and keep the eyes trained on this wonderful view.

Love these wide open spaces! I'm drawn to the dappled lighting across the golden fields.

Sky is gorgeous as well as the shadows on the ground from the clouds. Love your perspective and the subtle curves of the valley.

Great job on this...Love the golden tones in contrast with that big, blue sky. The single tree really adds depth and perception to the entire image.

Colours in this are really beautiful. The land still looks very natural and the tree really adds a bit. Very clear image as well, I always seem to struggle with haze in my scapes but this is bang on. Top stuff.
