Back road to Jinjellic, sky couldn't decide if it was raining or shining, in fact you can see some raindrops with blur motion in this shot, I cloned out the really annoying ones but left most of them that weren't distracting. I was driving away from this scene and looked over my shoulder to see a rainbow in mid display. Jammed on the brakes, fishtailed (Dirt road), grabbed the Pentax and feverishly snapped away before it vanished. Turns out there were two bows, the second one I didn't notice on the day. These hills are the foothills on the west side of the Snowy Mountains in Victoria, Australia. You can see a pano shot of the same valley HERE. The water you can see in the valley is the flooding Murray River.

Enjoy.

Mikel.

PS, I am delighted as this is my very first, ever, after 30 years of photography, rainbow. Teehee.

What a great find! Did you manage to track down the pot of gold at one of the ends. So glad you stopped and took this.

Nice timing capturing this enchanted opportunity. Wonderful lighting and backdrop for the rainbow. I wonder why the light is different on the inside of the rainbow? Saved.

Congratulations on capturing this rainbow! A truly beautiful shot of this valley. All the elements in this scene contribute to a wonderful photo. Very nice work! Thanks for sharing another piece of Australia.
