You come down to this little creek from the road at a point above that one step fall and all you see is a small amount of water flowing in a fairly straight line at the bottom of the rock slope, not much going on. But a bit of clambering downstream reveals this scene. My sister and I (Lovesred)were in constant danger of injury at this spot, wet smooth rocks and not a flat surface in sight. I spent a lot of time scooting around on my bum. When I got this shot home it was weird, the water surface of the pool below the falls was level but the edge of the pool above the falls, where the water is clearly coming over evenly across the whole lip, was not level, it messed with my head. So I used the perspective tool to level the edge of the top pool without changing the bottom of the image. I lost a good twenty percent of the right edge of the shot in that process but now the image doesn't mess with my head. :)

Enjoy.

Mikel.

Wonderfully composed, this angle is excellent. Often amazes me how changing perspective makes so much difference. I'm enjoying the contrasts and details.

Lovely composition. It could be a bit sharper in places but with a combination of a long exposure and having substantial cropping maybe that was unavoidable... have you tried sharpening in PS or similar to see how it looks?

Overall a beautiful image...

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. Henri Cartier-Bresson
