Aussies call everything that isn't city or farm "bush", desert, mountain, whatever, it's all "The Bush". I've put this in the "mountains" gallery even though really they are just hills. I love those shots of clouds flowing over a mountain ridge into the valley below, this shot here is as close as I've ever come to such a thing. Not very close! :) Still it does give a good sense of the gentleness of most Australian hills and those colours are our green, nothing like European greens at all. Gum trees as far as the eye can see. Did what I could in The Gimp to capture as much of the gradations of tone in the mist so it wouldn't be just a grey mass. A lot of words about a very simple shot. :)

Nice. Tonal range really gives the eye a workout. I'm wondering if assigning a slightly warmer color temperature to this shot might help distinguish land from mist. Good job of resisting the urge to over dramaticize (sp?) the scene.
