Silvanus (Steve) has a gallery chock a block to overflowing with stellar images I could not hope to improve on but THIS ONE teased me for a couple of reasons. It was the wrong aspect ratio for my screen and the double leaf felt out of balance, at odds with the overall simplicity of the elements in the image. But the light patterns in the water made me think it might be an impossible (For me.) cloning job to rework it. It continued to taunt me so I gave it a shot. Cloned out the smaller leaf. Worked a little on the colour and contrast of the remaining leaf, added more water to the right side so that I could crop the image with the one leaf a bit less cramped up against the edge of the image. All of them small changes. After all that, comparing the two, while I'm happy with the work I did I'm not at all sure I've really improved on Steve's delicious original. Thanks to Steve for his gracious permission to post my rework of his original beauty.

Need to up the 'Scurved Colour Drama' (or, "S.C.D" for those in the know) a tad, methinks and make this one really pop!

Personal preference here, I suppose. Just happen to like the somewhat 'extreme' offset that would result.
That said, do take a bow and a curtain call for your post processing work. Well done and but of course, thank you and Steve for sharing these two with us. :o)
