Another shot from Newman's Crossing. The golden scatter in the water is reflected sunset colours from the clouds overhead, the blue tones are because the area was all in deep shadow. I have, obviously, done a lot of work to make it all much more colour rich than it was at the time. I can't draw, lousy fine motor control, so photography for me is about creating beauty, usually beauty that evokes my emotional experience of a particular scene at the time I was taking the photo. Someone once said that poetry was about capturing and recalling the emotion of a moment, I am a poet with words, perhaps that's also the way I approach my photography. :)

Enjoy.

Mikel.

Mikel,
after reading your narrative and viewing your photograph, like to say that I couldn't have done this better, my friend.

Nice shot! The reflection is nice, but the overall color is kind of dark. I'd consider lightening the picture a little.

I was attracted to this image. I like the shapes and the depth of colour and also the mood it conveys. It does have a poetry to it and and the c-index score does not do it justice.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I like the focus on this small bit of nature. Although simple at first glance, there's a lot to see. I like the flowing water at the top of the photo, and the various shades of blue, with accents of pink, orange, purple, and black, really catch the eye. I also like the subtle reflections in the puddle and how you've framed the shapes created by the rocks and water. Well done, Mikel. A very poetic image.
