Those clouds are just massively impressive in this pretty landscape. The light is so inviting. You really have mastered that software to great advantage. All of your recent landscapes have been wonderfully dimensional with such great lighting.
Welllll, going to be bold here, Mikel.. hope you don't mind.
In my ever so humble opinion, think you pushed things a tad far. Particularly, where the sky is concerned.
Staying the bold course here..
The sky has gone from that of 'dramatic' to 'overwhelming'. Scale is off, in my humble opinion, and overall (bit of a surprise to compare the trees, once 'found' ... to underscore some constructive critiquing points.).
And I am not sure what other editing/post processing you performed.
Suggestion?
Masking off the sky as a separate layer and toning it down some. Could play around with the Opacity/Fill, for one. Annnnd ... when using/employing layers ... select the Blending Mode of 'Luminosity'. Which, doesn't mess with the original colours or that of 'brightness', as much.
That said..
Compositionally?
The added element of the small pool of water in the foreground is a nice touch. Perhaps, even that of a needed one, in that it does serve to anchor your image here well.
How do I feel when I view your image here?
Small. In a good good way, of course. You've successfully imparted the dominance of the beauty and majesty of what surrounds us in your visual offering here.
I've taken a look at the Oloneo site. Just might have to dabble with the software. Looks intriguing and the capabilities of the software look good good. So..
Thanks for that, and for sharing what is really an impressive setting/scene. Despite what my words above may otherwise suggest. :o)
The cloud shadows scudding accross the hills and the geat light over the paddocks is what makes this impressive to my eyes.A big and overpowering sky - perhaps a little too overpowering in its processing for my taste but an impressive and arresting image.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . I really hate to agree with Les, but I do. I just saw this in the VB. If not for the sky, I would have given this shot very high marks. For me, it detracted for the overall composition of the shot.
Another impressive and gorgeous landscape, Mikel. The flat, green paddock, dotted with trees at the base of the hills looks very inviting. I love the colors and long shadows. I also like the towering sky, even though it seems a bit surreal.
